The College strives to give one of the best learning experiences to its students using the three mechanisms: teaching, research, and the local and global community outreach.

A learning environment that encourages three core values: acquiring knowledge, building skill, and nurturing wisdom.

PNMHI college located in Bhairahawa, Lumbini, aims to blend liberal arts and science education to prepare graduates who are not only knowledgeable and skilled, but are also caring citizens. The complex and ever connected world demands no less, and PNMHI is ready to undertake this challenge by implementing various innovative programs in course curriculum, research, and community engagement.

PNMHI strives to be one of the best multidisciplinary colleges in the country with several faculties. Examples include, but are not limited to: paramedical sciences, engineering and environmental sciences, and economics, business, and behavioral sciences. By building common curriculum, PNMHI hopes to nurture interdisciplinary cross-fertilization across different disciplines.

  • Knowledge: PNMHI exposes its students to the latest subject matter, its theory, and concept, using the best available methods of instructions. Students acquire a broad range of knowledge base, which gives them both breadth and depth.
  • Skill: PNMHI teaches its students to use their knowledge base to develop a set of practical tools and skill-sets that are valuable and necessary for the job market of the 21st Century. Emphasis is placed on the use of the best available technologies, science labs, innovation labs, and communication.
  • Wisdom: PNMHI attempts to instill values it its students by encouraging them to use their knowledge and skill wisely to make decisions that are beneficial not only for themselves and those around them but also for the future generation and the community at large.

PNMHI tries to strengthen many of these values through various capstone projects, community engagements and the student-run workshops, writing projects, and debates (e.g. public health awareness, environment conservation, and citizen science). Drawing on the PNMHI’s biological surrounding and the magnificent riverfront, PNMHI’s students will have an opportunity to expand their outside-the-classroom learning experience. PNMHI’s students and faculty will also receive research experience as a result of the presence of a transnational research hub on its complex –the Lumbini Center for Sustainability (LCS).
